Tonight was all about packing. Lee, Zhenya, and Sasha had piles of clothing for bicycling, cold weather gear, camping stuff, and more, along with the things they will take for the car drive to and from Montana spread out all over the barn as they prepare to depart tomorrow. They were all in good spirits as they stuffed their belongings into collapsible water-proof bags for loading onto the BOBs and into the saddlebags. They plan to leave early tomorrow (SAT) afternoon (after Lee is done with the Army War College graduation) and head west toward MT. The first night's rest will be in South Bend, IN. They will continue on to Grand Forks, ND, Sunday and visit with friends before heading for Great Falls, MT, on Tuesday. Thursday, June 11th is the first day of the official "Pedal or Die" bicycling portion of the trip. The map on this post shows their driving route and bicycling route.
